Having her fourth career start, the four-year-old daughter of Microphone was coming off a pair of promising placings in her initial preparation, and she showed on Friday that the patience shown by her connections has been well rewarded.

Ridden with confidence by Mitchell Bell, Madame Fiocca jumped cleanly from the gates before Bell elected to ease her back to the tail of the field. From there, the mare relaxed beautifully, travelling strongly under a hold as the field turned for home.

Once into the straight, Bell angled her into clear running and asked her to lengthen. Madame Fiocca responded in style, letting down powerfully to surge past her rivals and draw clear for a comfortable and convincing win. The manner in which she put the race away suggested there is plenty more success in store as she continues to progress.

The win was a pleasing result for trainers Annabel & Rob Archibald, who have the mare thriving, and the performance indicated she has returned to the track in excellent order this preparation.

Congratulations to trainers Annabel & Rob Archibald, jockey Mitchell Bell, and all the winning owners of Madame Fiocca on a well-deserved victory.
